Pineapple Rings Cayenne Lisse
Organic
Togo
Pineapple cut into rings and gently dried locally. No sulphur, no sugar and no additives. The dried pineapple rings taste both sweet and slightly sour.
Storage & shelf life
Dried fruit can be stored at room temperature well past the best-before date in a tightly sealed container away from light. They only become slightly harder after a few months. Before using them for baking or cooking, you can soften fruit that has hardened by placing it in some hot water for a few minutes.

ABRA DOKE
FARMER FROM GBATOPE, TOGO
My favourite time is after the harvest because that's when we have cash.
"My occupation as a farmer allows me to meet our basic needs. We have food and I can send my seven children to school," says Abra Doke. "But it's not easy for us financially." The family grows pineapples on 0.12 hectares of land and would like to expand. But they don't have the money. "We'd like to receive a loan from gebana and for gebana to guarantee that it will always buy all our fruit."
