30 % of the beans for this 100 % arabica coffee are sourced from a small cooperative in Colombia, which processes the beans using the honey method. The remaining beans are sourced from family farmers in Mexico and Peru. The addition of honey-processed beans lends our full-bodied house blend a more pronounced fruit aroma on the palate with balanced acidity. This is the ideal choice for those who enjoy our house blend but would like to try something new.

Storage & shelf life

Store the coffee beans in an airtight container. A porcelain or ceramic container is ideal, but a plastic container will also work well. Store the container in a cool, dark and dry place. If possible, use up the beans within 2 to 6 weeks of receiving them. Only grind enough beans for the coffee you want to brew right away.

"We all live and work together, each of us contributing our skills, experience and knowledge," explains Leider Miguel Burbano Calvo. He grows 200 different types of produce on his two-hectare farm with his mother, his three siblings, his son and two nieces, including "what we call pan coger", which is cassava, bananas, beans and maize. But that's not enough for him. "My goal is to become self-sufficient in all areas. Not just in terms of food, but also hygiene, weaving with natural fibres, construction, and making furniture. To achieve this, I would like to further my popular education, expanding the Amolando Sabiduría farmers' school."
