MR W. D. MILTON
FARMER FROM MINUWANGAMUWA, SRI LANKA
I hope to increase the size of my harvest by using organic fertiliser.
"We enjoy making curry with the coconuts that I don't sell," explains Mr W. D. Milton. The farmer lives with his wife and son on a small coconut farm in western Sri Lanka. "A lot of people grow coconuts here," he says. "The health of my family and the environment are important to me, which is why I believe in organic farming." Mr Milton would also like to start experimenting with polyculture on his 0.4 hectares of land. He hopes this will increase his yields.
